My Quest to be Queen

Just about 4 months ago I received a gift that changed my running life as I knew it. Under the Christmas tree was a GPS running watch from my husband. I had mentioned I might want one after running with friends that owned them. I didn’t really like learning that my “8 mile run” was really closer to 7, but I did like how they knew the pace, elevation and exact distance of our runs.

Secret Workouts

I admit guilt when it comes to shopping sprees where I may have spent a little more than I intended and thus brought the packages in the house when no one was looking-sttashed them under the bed until the coast was clear. Nothing major-just a few pairs of running shoes I probably didn’t need. Or maybe a cute little lululemon jacket that looks very similar to the other 7 black lightweight jackets in my closet. It’s not like I bought a car or major appliance without telling my husband…

The Purple Stuff

In over 20 years that I have managed this club I am not sure if I have received more grief than the recent beating I have taken over the new purple product in the showers! "Disgusting!", "Yuck!", "Feels like the YMCA". A tough crowd indeed!

Cycle Oregon 2012

PJAMM Cycling Event

Perry Johnson Anderson Miller and Moskowitz Attorneys (PJAMM) cycling club come to The Studios at Montecito for a private sufferfest on Thursday, July 5. Staff Member Fractures Skull

Flamingo Pool Heated this Month!

Let the Kids swim in the Flamingo Pool this month while you enjoy a warm beverage poolside! The Flamingo pool, typically not heated in the winter, will be heated this month for members and guests to enjoy.

Locker Rooms Re-Open and look Great!


Locker Rooms CONSTRUCTION has been completed and the response to the changes has been very good. We have a few benches yet to come and some details to finish, but for the most part the project is complete. Thank you for your patience and we hope you enjoy the new space.

Turkey Trot Recap

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Thanksgiving Day tradition of running with Friends and Family. Despite cloudy skies and a few rain drops, this year's crowd was a record breaker! Adults, teens and kids all showed up and to gain entry to the event, they had to tell us what they are thankful for...
